What's Your Theme Song?
What if everybody had their own theme song? What theme song would you be? Imagine if you were walking into a rival basketball game what song would you want to play? I would want TNT by AC/DC. Or how about when you are walking into take a huge test during school, what song would you like to play then? How about Can't touch this by MC Hammer? When school is about to be released and you are just staring at that clock how about Final Countdown by Europe? Can you imagine this? Can't you just hear the music? See music outlines a lot of things. It can define who you are and what you stand for. My theme song would most likely be Pocket full of sunshine by Natasha Beddingfield because I am always smiling. If it isn't that then it would be Hakunna Matata by the Lion King. When somebody sees me walking towards them, and that song starts to play, they have no option but to smile and nod with me. So to conclude this thought, take a moment and think about your theme song;but think about it with caution. If it's a song that your grandmother won't approve of then don't chose it!

Music Therapy (:
Last night I was laying in my bed thinking when I got this theory that I just had to share. Always when I am laying in bed, I have music going on Pandora. Pandora just randonly pops up songs that catagorize in your chosen genre. My chosen genre last night was country. So here I was, laying on my back staring at the ceiling. Every time a new song started to play, a new thought process was formed. Then I realized, with every song a certain memory tags along with it. Most songs I had no idea what they were, but by listening to the lyrics I had a flashback. So in a way, songs are theraputic.
Have you ever just sat there and actually listened to the lyrics to a song? Maybe you should try it more often. They may strike you harder than you think. For example, there was a song that came on last night that reminded me of when I used to work in my dads old wood shop. I would prance around picking up scrap wood and nailing it together to try and make something unique. The song wasn't about building something with your dad. In fact it was actually about cheating on your girlfriend. The only reason it brought back that memory was because I was in the shop when I heard this song first. It was refreshing to remember that memory because I don't have that oppurtunity to do that any more.

Friday Night Music
It's a Friday night and there is nobody out; no cars, no people, nothing. Everything is quiet, people are getting off of work and heading home, the grocery store is closing, yet there is something still waiting to happen. Finally, the clock strikes nine and the streets are fled with vehicles. Loud trucks, small fast cars, junky yet treasured cars, they are all out cruising Maine Street. What makes all of this fun? It's the music. The music that blares as loud as it can from every vehicle. Some people may ask, well why would you want to do that? It is because music takes us places we have never been. Every song you play, it reflects you in some way! When your driving down the street with your car filled to the max with friends and the windows down, you have nothing to take you off this high. I absolutely love going out at night for this reason. It is where the kids can just take off from all the stress of school and just cruise to their favorite song. From 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm is when we can let loose. The noise restriction doesn't take effect until then. So you better believe we are taking our chances with it and singing our music to the top of our lungs. After doing so, you feel refreshed and usually end up having a good night rest. Elder people in our town say we are just destructive on Maine street. I can related to where they are coming from, but it is the music that brings me out there. The music is what I am looking for at night, nothing more than that. So If you have never tried it, there is never a better time to do so than now. Get in your car, roll your windows down, and just turn your radio up! You will not regret it!

Kicks for Music Lovers
(Google images)
These shoes are crazy! First off, who would ever have thought to design this? I know that who ever thought of these, had their mind in the right place; MUSIC! A true music lover would go nuts for these! Not only can you play your favorite CD, but you can plug in a jump drive or headphones and jam out while your just sitting there. My mission is to find out where you can buy these and I will get back to you guys soon! (:
My last thought on this shoe is, what if this shoe has bass? In a car it tickles up your spine, imagine what would happen when it is going on your feet! My advice would not buy them if your extremely ticklish! Unless you like to be tickled!

Story behind "Pumped Up Kicks"
When you listen to the song, Pumped up kicks, by Foster The People, you probably get lost in the catchy tune and forget to actually pay attention to what the song is about. At least this was my usual way of listening to the song. This all changed one night when I was watching the top twenty countdown and this song was on the spotlight. This very night changed my view of the song and everything behind it.
The song is actually about a young boy who was never cool in school; he wasn't actually tormented he was just ignored and an outcast really. One night, his dad brought him home a new pair of shoes that this young boy thought was the end to his reputation. He was now going to be the coolest kid in school! The very next day at school he walked in with every bit of confidence high and in sight! When the kids at his school saw him and his new shoes, they immediately started tormenting him and poking fun. The young boy had enough and went home with a broken heart and dream. That night, he stole his fathers gun from his gun case and packed it in his bag. Arriving at school he pulled it out and shot every one of those kids that made fun of him for his shoes.
So next time you hear this song and the part comes on "All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you better run, better run, outrun my gun. All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you better run, better run, faster than my bullet" Just remember what they are actually singing about.
I think this sort of event is sad but it really happens. Lately school shootings have happened a lot more and have shown what kind of problem bullying has become in our schools. I don't think this event happened in the US, but in our near by neighbors, Canada. Still though, the fact that it happened and there is a song to show the event that occurred is pretty crazy. Also, this song shows that half the poeple that sing this song don't truly know what they are even singing about. They are singing about a kid that got bullied, and decided to shoot all of the people who did it. So is this truly a song that you would want to be singing walking down the street? Or how about playing it in your car with the windows down? No doubt this song had a purpose to it unlike some in our generation, but is htis purpose one to be happy about?

Music Saved me
Last night I was thinking about how music has saved my life. Most of you are probably thinking right now, "saved her life, you have got to be kidding". Well it is true it has saved my life from complete awkwardness, which in the long run, has saved me from emotional distress. Yes I am exaggerating, but I am sure that people have been through the same situation. So here it goes!
One day I was in the mall and I felt like riding the huge glass elevator! Of course when you go to the door of the elevator, you cannot see if anybody is in it! So I push the button and patiently wait for the doors to open. As soon as they open I see that there is a man just standing there. What was I suppose to do? I didn't want to ride the elevator anymore, but I didn't want to just walk away! So here I am, between an open door with an awkward situation awaiting me, and my conscience telling me to just get in the elevator! Of course I didn't want to let me conscience down, so I walked in the elevator. With my back pressed as close to the glass as I could get it, I was not in the elevator to enjoy the view anymore! That ride was the longest I have ever taken! He once even got the nerve to glance my way! It was like an awkward stare took place between us!
The one thing that saved him and I from an even more awkward conversation, was the holiday music echoing throughout the mall. He started to tap his foot to it, as I started to look around. Finally arriving on our floor, he left and I followed. That Awkward situation was over! YAY! Thank you music! If it wasn't for music, I would have been pressured into saying hello and starting an unwanted awkward conversation. Don't take me wrong, I am a friendly person, but not that day. I just wanted to ride the glass elevator.

Home - Phillip Phillips
(google Images)
Phillips Phillips is the season eleven winner of America Idol. He made his stand in the world already by writing the song, "Home". To be honest, I am not completely sure what this song is about, but when I hear this song and read the lyrics there is one thought that pops into my head; hurricane Sandy. This wasn't just any hurricane. This hurricane took out so many states and left people homeless and devastated. This song sounds like he is assuring the people that the memories of their home days before the accident, aren't gone yet. Though the road isn't recognizable anymore, people are going to do their best to make it their home again. In a situation like this one, I imagine that you are probably scared, sad, and completely lost of hope. Scared of the bills that have piled up before the accident, added onto the bills it will take to rebuild your house. Sad that all your memories are gone, along with your personal belongings and treasures. To lose hope is something you absolutely do not want to do in this kind of situation. That is where this song steps in to motivate and reassure everybody that they aren't alone. We are a country of help and communication. We will be there for you when you need it. Fund raisers kicked into action and this song is actually the leading song during the advertisement for this cause. I give all my respect to the people who helped write this. It is a great song and it has a great message with it.
Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you’re not alone

Love For Music ღ
(http://pinterest.com/pin/72620612711511141/)
A cool Picture I found on Pinterest to express my Love for Music! <3
Music is the cure for everything. When I get sad or when I am in a terrible mood, I always put my head phones in and listen to music. Music is like a tissue that is just waiting for all your problems; it just soaks them up and releases them into the air. It doesn't matter on the type of music you have, it just has to do with the emotions behind it and how it connects to you. Some songs are the type of songs that give you encouragement and motivation. For example, when I am running in basketball practice, we always put on some encouraging song shtat would give us motivation to push our hardest. The mile isn't always easy, but it can be easier with an up beat tune to go along with it. Music can also be your comfort zone. Maybe you just went through a tough break up; I would suggest Taylor Swift for you. She has more songs about break ups and moving on than any other musician I know. They will assure you that your life isn't over, even though it feels pretty empty at the time. What ever your life takes you through, there is always a song to tag along with you, you just have to learn how to search for it.
For the short period of me doing my blog, I have just reviewed songs. If you haven't noticed I have changed my title for Top Music, to Music. Mainly because music is more than the top songs on the billboards. It is like poetry with a tune. So from now on I am going to take a whole new direction with my blog. It is going to be mainly a tribute to the beautiful music that surrounds us. So stay tuned and keep waiting for those upcoming posts (; !

Let Me Take You Out- Bryan J feat. Travis Porter
The song, "Let Me Take You Out", is written by a few boys who are trying to tell how they want to take a girl, who is extremely beautiful out on a date. Although this song isn't on the top billboards this year, it is one of my favorite songs of all time. Just the tune of the music and all the exciting sounds and voices makes the song extremely inviting. That and I am into the spunky yet meaningful songs that just make you want keep singing it until people around you start to get into it also! Me and my friend Hailey are always singing this song everywhere we go. The sad part is though, that you can't find the original music video or song on YouTube; it is always remixed. That is completely understandable though because it is an amazing and fun song to get into.

Taylor Swift- We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
Bing Taylor Swift
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together is a song written by the young artist, Taylor Swift. She is famous for her all around love songs that ever teenage girl loves to listen to. She has a variety of love songs from falling in love, and breaking up. This one, as you can see, is about breaking up. She starts out with a flashback of when she was dating this guy and tells how the first break up went, then the second, but finally she said she has had enough and they are officially done for! The tune to this song is extremely spunky and a kind of mess around fun song. For those who don't like Taylor's love songs, you will definately get this one stuck in your brain. I know from personal experience that you can be doing your own business and all of a sudden, the lyrics will come out. " We are never ever ever, getting back together, we EEEEEEEEEEE are never ever ever getting back together." Say you won't, now, but once you listen to it, you have fallen into the trap. The one part that will catch you ever time is the "We EEEEEEEEE". Beyong the point of it being another love song, it is actually one of her more creative songs. So creative that it has hit the very top of the Billboards and is seated number one song. If that isn't enough for you to go check this song out, it is also her leading hit song to her new album coming out sometime this year. For more about her and her top seatings go to www.billboard.com I remember when we broke up the first time
Saying this is it, I've had enough, 'cause like
We haven't seen each other in a month
When you, said you, needed space, what?
Then you come around again and say
Baby, I miss you and I swear I'm gonna change
Trust me, remember how that lasted for a day
I say, I hate you, we break up, you call me, I love you
Oooh we called it off again last night
But Oooh, this time I'm telling you, I'm telling you
We are never ever ever getting back together
We are never ever ever getting back together
You go talk to your friends talk
To my friends talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together
Like ever...
I'm really gonna miss you picking fights
And me, falling for a screaming that I'm right
And you, will hide away and find your piece of mind with some indie record that's much cooler than mine
Oooh you called me up again tonight
But Oooh, this time I'm telling you, I'm telling you
We are never ever ever getting back together
We are never ever ever getting back together
You go talk to your friends talk
To my friends talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together
I used to think, that we, were forever ever ever
And I used to say never say never
Huh, he calls me up and he's like, I still love you
And i'm like, i'm just, I mean this is exhausting, you know
We are never getting back together, like ever
We are never ever ever getting back together
We are never ever ever getting back together
You go talk to your friends talk
To my friends talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together
We, oooh, oooh, not back together, we
Oh, getting back together
You go talk to your friends talk
And my friends talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together

God Gave Me You - Blake Shelton
(www.google.com)
God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton is a soft song that shows his strong feelings for a girl, but relates it to his religion. When I first heard this song I thought it was going to be a sad song, instead it was a very inspiring 'Love' song! It starts out telling how he was a complete mess, and he was out of line and out of the way of his goals. During this time of heart ache though, he tells how his special somebody stays beside him and is waiting for him to pull through the tough spots in his life. The reason he said he is so blessed to have her is because God gave him this special person for his tough times, and for his good times. By her staying with him, even through the worst of his life, he questions why somebody so perfect in his eyes, would ever fall for somebody so disorganized and confused as himself. After confessing what is on his mind, he is grateful he has her, and hopes she never leaves him.In my opinion, this song touches right at home for me. It has such a strong feeling with it that anybody who hears this song, could relate to its lyrics. I bet that when people hear this, a special some one pops up into their mind also. I know somebody did for me. Would I suggest this song to you? Of course I would! If you are into the sweet love songs then this is the song for you. He has such an amazing voice that just sends jitters up your spine! So If you are looking forward to hearing this song, visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCf2PoTuh4Q&safety_mode=true.
I've been a walking heartache
I've made a mess of me
The person that I've been lately
Ain't who I wanna be
But you stay here right beside me
And watch as the storm blows through
And I need you
Cause God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it's true
God gave me you
Gave me you
There's more here than what we're seeing
A divine conspiracy
That you, an angel lovely
Could somehow fall for me
You'll always be love's great mary
And I'll be the flattered fool
And I need you
Yeah!
God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it's true
God gave me you
On my own I'm only
Half of what I could be
I can't do without you
We are stitched together
And what love has tethered
I pray we never undo
Cause God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it's true
God gave me you, gave me you.
He gave me you.

Wanted - Hunter Hayes
(www.google.com)
The song Wanted, by twenty year old Hunter Hayes, is a country song written to a special someone. It tells how he wants to treat them, and how he wants to make them feel. Of course, he wants them to feel wanted! This song has a soothing tune that is sure to get you into the song. It starts out soft, then ends strong. You can actually feel the emotion that is put into this song. To me, it is a great song with a meaning and purpose that draws the audience in. The song has been placed in the top 30 on the billboard this week. To check the billboards and who is where, go to www.billboard.com
You know I'd fall apart without you
I don't know how you do what you do
'Cause everything that don't make sense about me
It makes sense when I'm with you
Like everything that's green, girl I need you
But it's more than one and one makes two
So put aside the math and the logic of it
You gotta know you're wanted too
I wanna wrap you up
Wanna kiss your lips
I wanna make you feel wanted
I wanna call you mine
Wanna hold your hand forever
And never let you forget it
Yeah I, wanna make you feel wanted
Anyone can tell you you're pretty
And you get that all the time, I know you do
But your beauty's deeper than the makeup
And I wanna show you what I see tonight
When I wrap you up
When I kiss your lips
I wanna make you feel wanted
I wanna call you mine
Wanna hold your hand forever
And never let you forget it
'Cause Baby I, wanna make you feel wanted
As good as you make me feel
I wanna make you feel better
Better than your fairy tales
Better than your best dreams
You're more than everything I need
You're all I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
And I just wanna wrap you up
Wanna kiss your lips
I wanna make you feel wanted
and I wanna call you mine
Wanna hold you hand forever
And Never let you forget it
Yeah I, wanna make you feel wanted
Baby I, wanna make you feel wanted
'Cause you'll always be wanted
